Dear Okkervil River fans,

I have two tickets to a private showing of Okkervil River w/Roky Erickson next Thursday. I would like to take a guest who appreciates this band as much as I do. I will not be charging for the ticket, but simply treating someone as I have been treated to get the tickets to a very special event. If you are a member of the Okkervil River cult (ha! does it exist?) then please email me first and we'll go from there. I'm not sure how to choose who to bring, but get in touch with me and we'll figure it out.

And I'm the lucky chosen plus one! This is at the Austin City Limits soundstage but not an ACL taping--it's a KUT concert! Tickets were $75 each!

Hey Zach, nope, I already knew about it because I'll admit that I am so obsessed with Okkervil, I set up google alerts and boy has that paid off on more than one occasion (finding out about shows, interviews, etc., that aren't listed anywhere else, because let's face it, OR's management is behind the curve a lot), so I hit the jackpot once again

I'm not sure what I said in my responses to Lucy's questions that made her pick me, and I don't know how many people responded, but I'm grateful and thrilled. I'll file a report as per usual. Thanks!!

yeah, and nerds rule! The KUT show was amazing!! Full report following Saturday night's show at the Paramount, I cannot wait!
