be there for both. They haven't played the ATL since BSB, so we're overdue. They also need to hit Columbia or Charleston. The Carrboro to Athens to gone loop has to end.

Saw on the AVClub that OR is playing three shows with Arcade Fire in TX end of April/ early May. Dallas, Austin, and The Woodlands.

I hope they come back to Carrboro too. I saw them there with Damien Jurado after The Stage Names came out. It was a really good show. They played a wide selection of songs from all of their releases.

I think it's pretty huge that OR is playing with Grammy winners Arcade Fire. It should be a badass show.

I was hoping to see Okkervil on tour this June but it's not looking good. I'm not surprised that they are skipping Kansas City or St Louis, but not playing Chicago? Really? Oh well. Hopefully someone will post a show on Dime.

They're going to tour pretty hard on this CD and I'm sure the midwest is in their plans. Things are still coming together, so hang in there.

They're already touring the Midwest: Columbus, Minneapolis, and Omaha. Chicago's absence is quite conspicuous and I'm pretty confident it's because the band will be coming for Lollapalooza in August. I suspect St. Louis and KC were just too far out of the way for this trek.

Yes, they are playing three shows in the Midwest. But that's like saying they are playing three shows on the west coast. Won't help you if you're in LA and they are only playing in San Fran. There is just a huge, central area of the US that is being skipped this time around. Drats.

If they are playing Lollapalooza, good for them and the large-festival set. But I hope that's not their only show in America's second city.

Perhaps timing has a lot to do with this. By June most colleges are out. Maybe they'll do a college tour in the fall and hit up the college cities like Iowa City, Des Moines, Lawrence, Columbia. And maybe a Chicago/Memphis/STL. We'll see.

I wish I knew what else they were doing this summer. I'd love to see them but don't love the idea of flying somewhere to see them. I'd rather buy stuff from the band than two tickets on American!

Would assume the person who posted about Lolla is right - but don't bands usually play smaller shows on the same weekend as Lollapalooza? Could be a heavy Okkervil weekend.

I guessed wrong: looks like Titus Andronicus' Lolla appearance is the reason the tour skipped Chicago.
