I voted Obama. Seeing the candidate that I chose won is quite the feeling. I was at Grant Park with the plebs watching it unfurl on the CNN Jumbotrons. I know that this is going to be a presidency that will be sailing through uncharted waters. No matter who won, it was going to be difficult for whoever won the presidency and that all the damage done in 8+ years cannot be undone in 4 or 8 but if we can head into a more ethical and more pragmatic direction there will be more good than harm done in the long run regarding our economy, protecting the enviornment, foreign relations, etc.
Liberal, conservative, socialist, libertarian, African, Asian, man, woman, young, old, etc. etc. we all live here and at this point in time and I think that we need an administration to collaboratively work together instead of looking out for the "allies" and the "backsratchers" that will do favors for the administration in a way that's damaging to the public.
I can't say whether or not Obama will follw through with this but when all was said and done, he looked like the candidate most likely to do so, including third party candidates.
I tend to piss off fans of the following: Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, the Decemberists, Of Montreal.
Not that I am apologetic or anything...
