Hello everyone!

It's nice to meet you. I'm Garrett, a student of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, double-majoring in entrepreneurship and music, also interning at a local recording studio. My future plans are to open my own music studio and provide lessons, products, local music, and a small studio to record independent bands in a relaxed environment. My band is really taking off at the moment. I definitely want to finish school, but it looks like my agenda may be put on hold while we tour. We're in the process of finishing our first album, so let me know if you want more information. I'll provide more when we get our server back up.

My history with Okkervil River started just three years ago. I immediately fell in love with Black Sheep Boy, though the appendix has become my favorite of all OR work. The lyrics pierce me in a way that leaves me breathless. I think Will Sheff is an absolute genius, and the band can arrange like no other. I'm so excited for the new album!!! Though I'll miss Travis terribly, I can't wait to hear what Symington brings to the band. I've been a long-time Cursive fan, so this was the best news I could have gotten after hearing of Travis' leave.
I better wrap this up... It's nice to be a part of this great community who loves this band as much as I do.
